General Job Description

The Director of Operations is responsible for all day to day picking and delivery operations at our vendor partners in the Seattle metropolitan area. They will be responsible for hitting all operational KPIs related to growth, COGS, and customer satisfaction. They will oversee hiring, staffing, and scheduling of all managers, assistant managers, and Third-Party Logistics providers. Identifying and promoting key talent, and reducing employee churn will be a core component of the position. The Director of Operations will also identify and improve key processes to achieve operational KPIs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee day to day operations at all vendor partner locations in the specified geography
  • Hire and supervise all management staff at each vendor partner
  • Promote key talent
  • Track and achieve operational KPIs.
  • Identify and direct process changes required to achieve KPIsGrow customer service team as company scales
Minor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist Pilot Programs as needed
Qualifications for the Job
  • BA/BS
  • MBA Preferred
  • 5+ years in Operations Business
  • 5+ years in people and project management
  • Experience managing large teams in multiple geographies
  • Experience working with a technology driven “real world” service offering
Key Competencies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with to the ability to manage vendors, partners, and employees
  • Strong data analytics and skill in associated programs (excel, google sheets, etc.)
  • Proven track record in project management and prioritization
  • Ability to manage large / cross functional teams
Other Competencies
  • Warehouse & Logistics Management a plus
  • Willing to travel within the San Francisco Bay Area.
