General Job Description

The Head of Marketplace at Cheetah Technologies, Inc. oversees the strategic initiatives that expand the services, customer segments and suppliers that the company partners with. Cheetah Technologies, Inc. is a fast-growing company, so the Head of Marketplace has to be comfortable with quickly implementing new processes as business opportunities present themselves. The role will focus on strategic planning, new partnership exploration, goal-setting, and pivoting in the face of customer feedback and growth objectives. By measuring progress and adjusting accordingly, the Head of Marketplace is integral to the transformation of Cheetah Technologies, Inc. into a true platform and marketplace in the B2B space.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Determine appropriate partnerships to expand the offerings and customer segments that Cheetah Technologies, Inc. serves
  • Define key needs of customer base to drive initiatives and offerings
  • Develop testing methodologies to quickly vet the future success of partnerships
  • Collaborate with Sales, Development, Operations, and Customer Support leadership to scale new marketplace initiatives
  • Create best practices for creating platform dynamics in new and existing geographies
  • Determine and track KPI’s associated with new partnerships
  • Collaborate with executive team to define direction of the company
  • At scale, supervise multidisciplinary team
Minor Duties and Responsibilities
  • As needed, manage early operations of pilot partnerships
  • Provide feedback and coaching to staff and other team members
Qualifications for the Job
  • BA/BS
  • MBA preferred
  • 5+ years in strategy role (internal or external)
  • 5+ years in people and project management
  • 2+ in strategy consulting preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up
  • Experience in B2B food procurement and delivery logistics a plus
  • PMP or other project management certification a plus
Key Competencies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to quickly gain trust of new parties
  • Adeptness at building new business segments from scratch and acting as a catalyst for change
  • Proven track record in project management and prioritization
  • Strong data analytics and skill in associated programs (excel, google sheets, etc.)
  • Ability to manage large / cross functional teams
Other Competencies
  • Proficiency in SQL is a plus
  • Willingness to travel to newly launched markets
