General Job Description

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the daily activities of overseeing fulfillment and distribution of products at a 3rd party warehouse. Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring all orders are picked, quality controlled, invoiced, and loaded onto 3PL vehicle. The Operations Manager has varied tasks associated with fulfillment, staffing, customer complaints, and customer service. The candidate will need to ensure core operational requirements are met by scheduling employees for shifts and managing employee activities during those shifts. The person in this role will manage employees includes coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as well as planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achieves core KPI’s set by senior management, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with sales team and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Protects employees by providing a safe and clean work environment.
  • Maintains the stability and reputation of the organization by complying with employment laws and other legal requirements.
  • Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Manages relationship with our 3rd part logistics provider.
  • Insures staffing levels are adequate to maintain productivity
Qualifications for the Job
  • BA/BS Required
  • 3+ years in Operations Role, preferably in the food & beverage industry
  • Experience in high volume, fulfillment or manufacturing environment required
  • Experience managing teams of 10 or more employees
Key Competencies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with to the ability work with customers, vendors, and employees
  • Computer literate with experience working with Microsoft or Google office suite products
  • Ability to manage hourly employees
Other Competencies
  • Warehouse & Logistics Management a Plus
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
